摘要
Chinese college admissions pose a centralized allocation problem that incorporates elements of decentralization. In this context, we consider both the preferences of colleges and their priority orders, thereby distinguishing this problem from traditional models of college admissions and school choice. This paper examines the Chinese Parallel (CP) mechanism, which is currently employed in college admissions. In light of the unsatisfactory outcomes observed under this new characterization and the growing criticism of the CP mechanism, we propose a novel approach: the Modified Deferred Acceptance (MDA) mechanism. Our analysis, supported by theoretical evidence and simulation results, demonstrates that the MDA mechanism is more effective in achieving various policy objectives.

洪典，加拿大西蒙菲莎大学（Simon Fraser University）经济学在读博士，研究方向为机制设计与匹配市场理论，与相关政策的应用。洪典的研究围绕两大核心领域展开：1.学校选择机制：探索算法匹配如何优化学生---学校资源配置，在效率性、公平性与策略激励间取得平衡；2.婚恋匹配市场：构建创新框架解决婚恋匹配中的市场摩擦，重点研究非传统偏好揭示方法。
